About the Prepared Theremin
The theremin is one of the oldest electronic musical instruments, and the first musical instrument played without being touched. The Prepared Theremin is a theremin-driven instrument for live performances and improvisations with other musicians.
The idea behind the Prepared Theremin is to use a theremin as a controller to manipulate sounds from a library or recorded in real-time from other musicians.
It has been designed and tailored from an idea by Massimo Simonini, the director of the Angelica cultural center in Bologna.
Please see the Massimo Simonini web page for details and concert dates.
