Bruno Zamborlin,  Joint PhD in Arts and Computational Technologies between IRCAM/Centre Pompidou in Paris and Goldsmiths, University of London.

I worked for three years at the Real-Time Musical Interactions team at IRCAM on applications for gesture-driven audio control and augmented musical instruments. With Frédéric Bevilacqua, I developed a system called Gesture Follower that allows for real-time following and recognition of time profiles (both motion, audio and visual). I applied these technologies working with several artists such as composers, performers, dancers and choreographers.

As member of the RealTime Musical Interactions team at IRCAM and the Embodied AudioVisual Interaction team at Goldsmiths Digital Studios, I’m exploring new methods for gestural interaction and its applications in performing arts and the development of new musical instruments. Moreover, I’m interested on the topic of Interactive Machine Learning and the possibility of allowing the artist to interact with the entire supervised learning process and the creation and design of his own gesture vocabulary.
